for those who didn't know that mojo and i spent our xmas in Hong Kong and Macau,
here, as promised,
our 8 days 7 nights vacation ...=)
this is our second vacation abroad.
and it is my second time in HK. previously Renn and i went with the tour and i found out that the tour did not cover most of the MUST VISIT places in HK.
so, don't follow tour. =p
we bought the air tix in July 2008, as you know, the earlier you buy the tix the cheaper you will get.
air asia offers rm650 from LCCT to Macau, plus rm200 from Pg to LCCT.
without hesitation mojo just got them.
we started our journey on 23rd of Dec, woke up wee in the morning, the excitement got us all over and we just couldn't sleep well the night before.
while waiting for boarding, i got The Alchemist from Renn to kill the time.

my pretty excited face.

after 3 hours plus, we got our ass down in Macau and ready to cross the border to HK.
on the little bus to the jetty.

the Venetian from afar.
fyi, venetian is nearby the Macau International Airport.

as soon as we reached the jetty, we rushed to the ticket counter to get the very next ferry to HK.
there were like thousands of people and we couldn't get the Turbojet ferry.
no choice, our last resort, First Ferry.
apa lar...as soon as i took the picture, i got seasick and puke.
the wave hit the ferry sipek hard or it was the captain who doesn't know how to sail the ferry, i tried my best very best not to vomit.
cannot tahan...

mojo got seasick too, but he didn't puke.
how could him control??
Turbojet is much better. trust me. =)

with my body and head still terapong apongan,
we found our way back to our hotel.
it was already 10pm my lord..
we stayed in the area of Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon.

how did we get there??
we bought the Octopus Card = MTR card, with this card you can travel all over HK island and Kowloon. priced at Rm150 with Rm50 as the deposit. you can top up just like your Touch n Go whenever your credit is low.
our hotel - Bridal Tea House.
looks old and dirty from the outside but it is clean in the inside.

the room is slighty, i mean VERY small..
we couldn't really move with our baggage and stuff in it.

the toilet is even smaller.

but overall, the hotel is quite good lar, point of location
which is 3 minutes from the MTR (subway), cleanliness and price.
it costs only rm250 per night. (agak rm125 per person)
ain't it reasonable??
highly recommended for backpackers / free and easy tour.

after unloading our stuff, we headed to Temple Street a.k.a Miu Kai which is a few steps away from my hotel for dinner.

the infamous Pou Chai Fan = claypot rice.
Hing Kei Pou Chai Fan.

how i love the rice.

the shop. tai pai tong is what they call.

temple street, night market.
seriously, there is nothing much to buy there. ladies street is much much better.

the next day,
hitting Mongkok.

iam such an expert in reading map.
in fact, im the map.
i know how to go here and there in such a place. trust me.

breakast at this restaurant.
Hoi Wong Chuk Tim. (if i translate correctly)
they are famous for their porridge.

breakfast in Hong Kong is basically about porridge + yew char koay or dim sum.
we saved the dim sum for the next next day...hehe.

one of the famous shopping mall in HK,
Langham Place.
i guess it is famous for its deco and design of the building.

and it has not one but two of the longest mall escalator.
really long.

mojo said it is dessert time!!
Honeymoon Dessert.

there are variety of dessert from mango to durian, tong yuen to cake.
too much to eat with too little stomach. =p
so, we ordered the Tong Yuen with Chi Ma Wu. something like that.
very nicey.

and as for me, the ever durian lover
ordered this durian pancake.
renn told me we have it in malaysia lar...
nevertheless, i love love love it.

the deco in langham place.

we spotted alot of the mahjong shops where people play mahjong/gamble there.
just like the movies.
but we dare not enter. later kena belasah just like the gangster movie one.

it was xmas eve, thus we headed to the most happening place in HK,
Tsim Tsa Tsui.

nicey deco.

to the harbour, the Avenue of Stars.
the breathtaking night view of HK.

too crowded my lord.
we have to walk miles to get there as they closed many of the mtr exit to this place.

too hungry to even take the picture of the food.
dined at the fast food restaurant, their food is similar like what we have in Kim Gary. but they're faster. fast food mar..
it is called Tai Ka Lok.

canton road.
every girl's dream place lar...designer brands all over.

see....
people people and people.

well, we didn't actually stayed there for the countdown to xmas.
we were damn tired and headed back to hotel.
countdown on our bed instead. =P
the next day,

you will get food here at Jordan Road. nothing particular.

went to this restaurant for breakfast.
Tsui Wah.

mojo with Chu Zhai Pau which is kinda similar to our Roti Babi.
but taste better, of coz.

swiss chicken wing and noodles.
have to mix them up to eat.
not as good as i expect.

one thing you cannot miss when you're in HK,
is their Lai Cha, their version of Teh Ais. =p
way way better.

i must stop here...writer's block.
to be continue...
loves.
