i'm always that kind of person who reluctant to try new products (i'm e taurus) especially when it comes to facial products. somehow being influenced by Renn, my evil sister (who can buy 10 different bottles of hair shampoo at one go), i kinda open up to this. i'm willing to try now...hmmh. (can't decide whether this is a good or a bad thing)

(bought it at Changi Airport, the reason i bought is because they are so much cheaper in Singapore. psst! influenced by my friend!)

no regrets buying them as the products are really good. the moisturizer is minty and non greasy. 'like'!

hair product:

went to Ish Saloon today, had my hair done. wheee =D

and bought this shampoo...to salvage my hair.

have yet to try but i have faith in it. haha.

and i ordered one so-called magic serum. =D

and not one, not two but three pairs of flats...giggles.

Despite their sexually named products such as orgasm, super orgasm, deep throat, G-spot..(eh..i'm blushing a little bit typing this out)... all the reviews i've read are all positives.

I have my eyes on NARS such as lipgloss, eyeliner, blusher, bronzer..you name it, i want it. heh. However, one must have their illuminator (picture)...

Can't wait to get their products this Jan.

i've mentioned earlier that i had to attend my client's annual dinner and the theme was traditional/cultural attire hence the kebaya.

went for kebaya shopping with hooi ting right after our seminar at bandar sunway. she was rather impressed with my speedy shopping. went in, spotted one, grabbed, tried and bought.

she said she would go to every single shop nearby to compare. hmm..if only i wasn't that rush.

this is the first in a very long time that i bought a set of kebaya. i used to have one in orange when i was little.

with Wanlin who was in punjab.

the dinner ended rather early, waited for mojo at starbucks.

i didn't know that there is this band that plays music in the starbucks every weekend.

what i did last friday night was...

out and about with my beloved friend, Edwin who left Malaysia on Sunday.

Uncle Choon tagged along.

all of us went out for more than one purpose.

first, dinner at Ali.

followed by camwhoring session while Edwin filled up the gas while Uncle Choon sitting at the back seemed to be pretty annoyed by my narcissism.

followed by a visit to Edwin's aunt boutique.

it's called the AnneBra, located at Pulau Tikus.

very comfortable and nice interior.

most importantly, very fashionable lingerie. =D

i love this set so much especially the one in maroon. i've omitted to take a picture of the maroon ones.

had the fondue at this little restaurant called, De Title, located at Lorong Selamat.

it is a known fact that cheese is fattening. when the words cheese and fondue combined, you better be prepared, ain't no kidding it's gonna cost u 1000xxx cal. but whatever, "eat first think later" ...

that's my motto to a guilt free dinner. hmmm...

last Sunday mojo and i decided to go for an 'outing' in other word 'dating'.

yes, we are still using the word despite of 'dating' for so many years. ehe.

went to do some shopping at gurney plaza and dinner at crepe cottage.

a stroll along gurney drive...in the rain. hah, how romantic. =p

the food is OK, not too bad. the food is pretty cheap we recon.

worth a visit i shall say.

pheeewww...so far this is the only weekend that i don't have to work. no launching, no signing just lazying around the house. thank god for such a good weekend.

the white dress

i always love empire waist dresses/ grecian inspired dresses.

probably because they cover tummy the best and show the definite waist.

i received many compliments about my white grecian dress that i wore to Penang Bar Annual Dinner last saturday *which I will blog about later*.

I bought it last year where it was meant to be my dinner dress (bernie's wedding) but was told that it was inappropriate hence it was left hanging in my closet for about a year. i know it is also inappropriate to wear white to attend weddings. it is known as one of the fashion rules. but well, rules are meant to be broken. for the record, i broke the rule twice!!

Jeff Chang's I Saw World Tour

Finally we went to watch Jeff Chang performing live. As i've mentioned earlier that we've missed his show last year, we managed to watch it this year.

one thing about Genting Highland is that..

adult suppose be in the casino while the children suppose to be at the amusement centre/park.

like us, obviously adults, who 'don't fancy' casino that much were caught in the situation where we didn't know where else to go.

hence a visit to the amusement centre.

look at my super kaypo boyfriend.

iam always hungry. before the concert mojo bought this corn in cup for me in order to shut me up. *i kept telling him that iam hungry*

the opening act.

jeff chang is superb. his voice is as amazing as gary chaw but in a very different way.

i recon that aunties are jeff chang biggest fan. they were waving the LED sticks and screamed and sang along.

there was this aunty who i think is in late 50s sat beside me and she came to the concert ALONE! and to my horror she sang along 'ai ru chao sui' loudly in a monotone.

nevertheless, i bet she did have a good time.

the lucky couple who got jeff chang to witness their marriage *on stage* and his blessings. and round of applause by the audience.

jeff chang's concert worth every single penny we spent on.

that's why we love to watch good concert.

BFF and i were invited to attend one of our high school mate's wedding luncheon last sunday.

yes, she is of my age.

i have to admit it, we are old enough to actually to get married. *goosebumps*

it is more like catching up session because they are my high school mates that i've lost touch with since errr..high school??

can't believe we got old that fast. it feels like it was yesterday when we were cycling to school for some volleyball games, discussing boys trouble, bitching about other school mates and do all the things high school kids do *except facebook, we didn't have facebook back then*

it is so obvious that everyone grows older. i hate to say this but the reality hurts.

anyway, congrats to both of them, may them have a blissful marriage.

we always know that she will be the first to get married.

talking about marriage:-

Now everybody is getting married, and like what Samantha Jones said in SATC "i don't understand why do people get married and have kids, it is such a cliche", which sometimes i agree with.

Well, maybe this is what people do.They fall in love. They got married. They have kids and they grow old together.

At one point, we (i refer to Ben, Uncle Choon and I) even discussed what constitutes a romantic proposal. I bet most of us watched those proposal videos which were uploaded in youtube to make girls green with envy and with all the ooohhhwaaahhhwooowww...then ended in tears. some say the proposal must be special or grand. Some say not necessary.

In my humble opinion, the special proposal has my vote but not grand proposal, probably because i think i'm a shy person and a grand proposal is something that your boyfriend/ husband-to-be has to splurge on.

Like i told them, i think the most important part of proposing (doesn't matter if it is extraordinary or grand) *besides a good ring*, is a good speech. I called it 'the marry me speech'. A good marry me speech win hands down over everything else. If you watch the eclipse, you should know how romantic it is the part where Edward Cullen proposed to Bella.

The point is, if that somebody is going to ask your hand for marriage, i bet you would want to know what is in his heart, how special you are to him and what does he really feel about you and being with you for the rest of his life. A simple 'will you marry me' is never enough. The discussion heated up when Ben disagreed, supporting his view, he said that a simple 'will you marry me' is enough because all he wants to do is to marry you and nothing else. And of course, with a grand proposal will be great, he added.

I stand by my opinion.

previously i've mentioned that my keh mak also known as Joycelyn Teoh, who climbed up to the peak of Mount Kinabalu, of course, with her beloved Den.

we all are so proud of her to have such a determination and strong willpower to soar up so high.

seriously, this keh mak is being keh mak. i think she is trying to pull the 'veni vidi vici' posture. look at her leg!

well, back to the topic...he is able to carry anything about 100kgs or more, up and down Mount Kinabalu. we all wondered why they need a washing machine anyway. hmmph.

some can even carry up to 200kgs. kidding? not so.

jimmy was even funnier when he asked if they are able to carry e plasma tv and an astro up there to kill boredom. err...i think they could. haha. but i bet there won't be any signal there.

apparently they charged RM15 per kilo. we were saying that since they can carry that much, why don't we pay them to carry us up to the peak so that we can get the certificate and some photos *of course*, and they get the money. it's a win win situation.

so we were discussing that if our beloved Chin Zin is paying to get to the peak, it will probably cost him about rm1500 *oppss, sorry i don't mean that he is 100kgs, just assuming nia ok* it is rude to reveal people's weight. tsk tsk.

RM1500 to be at the peak! i could use the money to buy a bag!

Chin Zin's birthday/ reunion.

last saturday/ the day after my long call *non related*, was Chin Zin's birthday. it was definitely a great day to celebrate our beloved Tua Pui's birthday as everyone is back for holiday.

being the organiser of the event *as usual*, we made a special trip to mainland for the famous thai food at Khun Thai.

i can see that Tua Pui was so happy that night *amh happy* because all his children and grandchildren were there to celebrate his 50's birthday. *we called it 'tai sau'*

the 50 year old Tua Pui with his much younger partner.

mojo and i.

we always love to make Tua Pui paiseh. he is a person who is afraid to be paiseh-ed or mahuan-ed. in order to make him really really paiseh, we sang 3 birthday songs of different languages so loud that everyone stared at us.

yes, this is how we treated our birthday friend. i know, this is what friends are for.

co-incidentally it was the week where my pupillage came to the end where i had to go down to KL to file my long call papers. and up to the Hill as well!!! very fruitful trip indeed.

having O+ type of blood is a good thing.

we are the universal donor.

doesn't matter if you're A, B or AB,

everyone loves us!! no, you have to love us!

but it can be a bad thing as well especially when the person who doesn't know how to handle us properly during the blood donation. hah!

last friday, there was this blood donation campaign in our building and i thought, why not!

that was not the first time iam donating, in fact i donated before. after filling up the form, i patiently queued for the medical check-up to see if iam qualified.

so many people got rejected due to reasons suchlike, high blood pressure or low blood pressure or even under weight *iam definitely not under this category*

after seeing so many people being rejected, i secretly wished that they are going to reject me from donating as well. *you know, needles are scary sometimes*

well, apparently iam too healthy to be rejected.

when the doctor examined me, he asked, "have you ever donated?", "when was the last time you donated?"..

proudly i said, yes, donated once, not long ago.

he said, "i can actually track, the last time was 6 years ago!!" he grinned.

ouch!

lol...paiseh to the max. that was in 2005 when IPG now PTPL organized the blood donation campaign. i told him that 'it actually feels like yesterday'. hahaha. *save face abit*

the withdrawing part went smoothly but the part where the nurse poked the needle into my vein, i think she must be poking into the wrong vein or what...or she did not properly remove the needle thereafter which

caused a huge bruise.

it got worse today.

faster call child abuse hotline!!!

after all, it is a good deed to donate blood because you definitely save those who are in need.

no, it is not painful at all (exception: my case).

we should do it more often.

hmmm...i feel kind already.

another 2 days of work, it finally marks the end of my chambering period.

it means the end of my title - chambie/ trainee associate.

mixed feeling, excited and reluctant.

all i can say is that, i enjoyed my pupilage at ZICO. often we heard this and this firm/master/LA bully their chambies but this never happen on me. everyone is so kind to me, we are like a family.

unforgettable experience and very memorable.

i hope my next firm is as warm as my current one. fingers crossed*

had dinner with mojo and my parents just now.

and first of all, i would like to show you my new hairstyle!!!

had my haircut, touch-up and perm yesterday. yea, all at once. my hair is now 5 inches shorter. ouch. actually, i love my long hair but the hairstyle is getting dull. it's been so many years since i permed my hair. so, i guess it is time.

curly/wavy hair makes people look older, i mean, more mature.

mum said i look nicer with my hair tied to the side.

i woke up rather earlier today for the bag sale at G hotel.

the bag sale is very disappointing, no nice bags and expensive. ugh.

since i parked my car at gurney plaza, i did a little shopping there.

within a short 30 mins, i spent my hard-earned money about RM550 on something that are not in my to-buy-list.

and this is where my money goes...

one of the Shu Eumura UV under base is for Renn as the sisterhood day's present.*

i worship the UV base mousse which i blogged about it last year. it is definitely a have-to-buy-item.

Mr. Ben keeps reminding of my spending habit (he always says that i like buy things that i don't need) and he taught me that whenever i want to buy something, i'll have to ask myself 'do i need this?' and he claimed that it helps.

but normally, in my case, this doesn't help at all..

because,

the answer is always YES!

yes, i need them...

i am not a foundation person because i always believe that the less make up you wear the better. but this bottle is magic. it is very light and sheer and most importantly, it is non greasy/oily. similar to UV base, it is a mousse type.

cant't wait to use it.

last but not least,

wait...i didn't buy this.

it is the sisterhood present Renn gave me. a satin blouse.

hey sis, i can fit in alright..well, just a tad bit tight on the shoulder.

happy father-mother's day

my parents are those parents who have no demands. they won't demand us to throw them a birthday bash or like this, they won't demand us to celebrate father/mother's day with them.

i know some parents are like that, they get very upset if they don't get to celebrate 'their' day.

hence, my parents are cool.

the last sunday we had our family dinner slash father-mother's day celebration (insisted by their children). and probably because Renn was home for the weekend too.

more like family gathering.

we had our dinner at the usual-dad's-fave-restaurant, sheraton.

lyndy who is finally look like a girl now. she looks super cute with her hair like this.

her tan went wrong.

she just can't stop playing with her phone. geram!!

the 2 extra abalones. *dad ordered extra/bad maths*

there were like 6 of us but he ordered 8. hmmph

of course, i was the one who had another plate of it. hehe

seriously huge and we were too full to finish it. not even half.

like always, my daddy has expensive taste. ugh.

will definitely treat them next year *i assume that iam going to be a little richer next year*
